Cayden asked: How does God talk?
Mom answered: If you listen really closely, sometimes you might hear God whispering in your head. Also, God sometimes tells you things through other people.
Cayden asked: Does God have a mouth?
Connor answered: Of course God has a mouth.
Connor asked: Does God have a bed?
Mom answered: I'm not sure but, I don't think God really sleeps a lot - maybe he just rests.
Cayden asked: What is a spirit and how does it get with God in space?
Mom answered: I don't know how our spirit gets back to live with God but, all our questions will be answered when we meet God. We just don't know all the answers.
Cayden asked: What is a spirit?
Mom answered: Its what makes us who we are. Its why you're Cayden and I'm Mom and Connor is Connor and we're not anyone else. We can't see it but its what we are. Our body is just a house for our spirit.
Connor asked: Does God make our body and our spirit?
Mom answered: Mommy and Daddy create your body, with the thelp of God and then God sends your sweet spirit to live in the body inside your Mommy. Your spirit doesn't go back to live with God until you pass away.
Cayden: Didn't Cassie (our cat) pass away?
Mom: yes she did
Connor: Isn't her body buried in the back yard?
Mom: Yes, under the Turks Cap
Cayden: Can we dig her back up?
Mom: ahhhhhh! No! We don't dig up dead bodies. Besides, they turn back into dirt after the spirit goes to live with God.
Cayden: What? dirt? Cassie's little body turned to dirt?
Mom: Yes, our bodies turn back into dirt and we become a part of the earth again and nourish the soil and plants. Isn't that cool?
Cayden: Does God have a mouth? Where is God's bed?
Connor: My Pocket PC has gone dead. Mom, can you charge it
Cayden: Oh, look at that tractor. Can we drive by it?
Mom thinks: Okay, that went well. I hope they aren't too confused about death, God and heaven. hahahahahahahahaha!
We pull over and begin another discussion about different tractors
Cayden asks: How do you say forklift in Spanish?
Mom says: I don't even know. Let's ask Anna & Edgar when we see them.
Enough questions for now. Let's sing along with the radio.
**I (Tammy) am so sick of my broken foot! I'm having a small pity party right now. I really want to pick up the living room, vaccum the floor and go for a nice walk around the neighborhood. All the little things I took for granted, like getting a glass of water or running to the toilet, are major events with my broke foot & lovely crutches.
