Cayden suffered his 1st broken bone Saturday night. At the ripe age of 3 our baby has a fractured arm.
Can you believe it? He was truckin' along on his Tonka bicycle when out of nowhere jumped Kali (the giant dog) and he ran smack into her. He fell off the bike, the bike fell on top of him and he screamed OOOOOWWWWWWW! Things didn't appear to be too bad. He was wearing his helmet so no head injury and there were no scrapes or cuts.
Cayden just kept complaining when he moved his arm about. We gave the kiddo some Motrin but when he woke up this morning he was holding his arm and guarding it from everyone. We decided it was time for the professionals to step in SO we booked it on up to one of our local emergency rooms and had the little guy x-rayed. 2 hours later we left with a splint, a sling and a referral to a pediatric orthopedic. We have to wait about 5 days for the broken bone to begin to heal so the docs can see the break & then he can be fitted for his hard cast. AHHHHHHHH! Maybe the break will heal and there won't be any cast - yeah right! Actually, the little dude is doing much better since the arm was splinted - he says it feels better since he can't move it. Let's see how long we can keep a very actiuve 3 yr old in a splint and sling. He wanted to ride his bike this evening - he said "I can ride one handed!" Oh people, pray for us all!

Well this is nothing compared to my toe, but oh no! Poor little guy! He was being so tough, a lot better than I would've handled it (obviously). LOL @ him wanting to ride his bike again. I always figured I'd want a boy, but my nerves need a Connor personality, not a Cayden.
Poor baby....maybe you should come live with GG.
