Strong and she knows it!

Our dog, Kali, has out grown every collar expect for the largest 26" I can believe how BIG she has actually gotten. Is this the same dog? 8 months ago her whole body was the size her now giant head. Well, the day has come that she has discovered her strength. 3 days ago, I was walking her, she decided to jump and pull, breaking her harness (a special no-pull Sporn harness hahahaha) and pulling my feet out from under me.

As I sat in the front yard of someone else, holding a broken peice of harness, I decided that it was time to take some action. Mind you, our dog is well trained. She can sit, high five, shake, lay down, crawl, roll over, and "leave it" Does she come though??? That's a big negative!!!! She acts as if she has never heard the waords "Come - Kali!" She has never been one to pull or run away, unless there is a cat or another loose dog involved. We encountered both of those things in the past 3 days. The broken harness episode was over a cat - the next day she completely pulled the leash off my arm and ran after some loose dogs. Wow! That dog is strong. I seriously think she may have fractured my forearm. Anyway, we made a treck to the pet store today & got one of these head harnesses.

Kali doesn't like it, but, it works like a dream. She has been walking so well today & only tried to jump at one duck at the park. Check back in a week to see if we still love this thing........ She may figure it out yet.

Side note, PetsMart has been the best at exchanging items. We took the broken Sporn back in with no receipt and without all its pieces and they exchanged it for our head harness with no questions.
