Park

We are all a bit under the weather so we stayed close to home today. We did venture out to our neighborhood park to walk the dog. We had several adventures there. Usually we just walk around the lake, maybe play on the playground and then leave BUT not today!
First, we took the boys for a bit of fishing - Cayden hooked himself yet somehow, we all escaped Connor's flying hooks.
Kali chased 3 girls on to a park bench - they were yelling "Papi Papi" to their dad - I had to apologize profusely for having her off the leash.

We went for a walk off the beaten path - in the woods. There is a path, but I've never seen a soul hiking back there. I had to pee so I did the standard *squat behind the tree* I did say I was feeling under the weather right?!?! Well, I peed all over my pants and didn't even know it until I pulled them up. Wow! What am I 2? I swear I've been potty trained for years!

Then we came upon someone's poo poo spot. This must have been planned because they brought toilet paper & left it all over the place. The boys were screaming, the dog was running all around like a maniac, BUT I think we made it out without any foreign contamenant. GROSS!!! Besides the poo poo, there were brambles everywhere! I got completely scratched up - I had on capri pants. The boys were wearing cottong pants & they were scratched some.

The boys found a mussel and brought it home as their new pet. Just what we need! Its living in a measuring cup right now. Maybe we can reintroduce it to the wild tomorrow.

When we finally wound out way back to the park, some busy body old lady from Scotland had called the cops on us. She saw the boys' bikes sitting near the woods & thought something weird was going on. I mean, why would kids bring their bikes to the park, get off them and tromp around somewhere??????? I think the cop was disgusted with the situation. We came tromping out of the woods, a pre-teen said "I think the 2 boys, with their parents, own those 2 bikes" the cop turned and walked back to his car and left. Goodness, got the cops called on us and everything. Wish we had been doing something exciting.
