You guessed it. This is a coconut.

And now, another 'schooling' moment from our house.................. The boys were curious about coconuts so, we got one, opened it up, drained out the milk, and pried out the "meat". It was interesting watching the boys try to figure out how to open the cocnut. Never a dull moment around here.

Now we have a cocnut shell loitering around our kitchen. The guys like it so much, we may turn it into a bird feeder so it we can enjoy it that much longer. Our motto is: reduse, reuse, recycle! The 3 R's. That baby is gonna end up as either a bird feeder or compost but definately not trash :0) Rock on my fellow treehuggers.
