Actually, our dog had a wreck. We were inside the grocery store returning a movie rental to Red Box, when a lady runs in yelling about a dog knocking something from somewhere. Since our dog weighs approx 100 lbs and I left her alone in the car, I pretty much knew the lady was freaking out about something our dog had done.
I calmly took the boys and walked out to the parking lot to find a man holding my car in the middle of the parking lot. Yep, I forgot to put the emergency break on. I drive a standard, stick shift, non-automatic car that doesn't go into park when stopped. I have to either put it in gear or pull the brake to keep it from rolling down even the smallest of inclines. Yap, right again, there was a slight incline where I parked.
Our car bumped a new shiny Lincoln, leaving what appeared to be a dirt mark but probably will require replacing half the side & nothing noticeable on my car - maybe a bit of dirt gone. Our giant horse dog was huddled in the back seat. I think all the people swarming around the car staring and freaking out were upsetting her a bit & she was scared. Ha! They thought she might jump out when I opened the door, but all she wanted was to be reassured that things were okay.
Lesson: Don't ever leave a giant dog in your car with out pulling the brake. If your car moves, people freak and assume your dog is trying to drive!
