An ode to the rain

Oh rain, how we love you. You make our lakes rise and our flowers grow. Oh rain, how we love you. Now our yards we really will need to mow.

Oh rain, how we love you. You keep our dogs and kids locked up inside. Oh rain, how we love you. If there is much more lighting and thunder, under our covers we will hide!
Aren't our Texas wildflowers beautiful? I'm planting more varieties this Spring. I'm going to my local field, digging up some prairie verbena & adding it in with these lovelies!

ooooohhhhh, ahhhhhhh I love this plant! I saw it last year in a neighbor's yard & after coveting it all summer, I bought one. Plumbago baby! Drought tolerant plants are beauties too!

Michael grows these tasty treats for Cayden. I would have taken a shot of some ripe strawberries, but Cayden already picked 'em & ate 'em.
Mint grows bigger in Texas!

Can you believe how many artichokes are growing in our alley??? We have definitely been visited by the artichoke fairy!

We ate our artichoke and it was GOOD! I kinda forgot how to do the heart part...so that was botched...but we still enjoyed ourselves. Thanks!!!

Loved the poem and pics. I still think you ought to sell them.
