Our next door neighbors have 2 sweet beagles, Brownie and Bruno. Bruno is terribly afraid of thunderstorms. This morning, after their people left for work, a thunderstorm moved in and the 2 doggies freaked. I had the boys climb up in their fort to make sure the dogs were okay. The doggies were squealing and yelping and I was afraid they were seriously hurt. When I heard the thunder, I remembered hearing about Bruno's storm phobia. Poor guy. The dogs were frantically digging under the fence and finally Brownie, the smallest, popped out. I took her in & put her in Kali's crate. Bruno was next. He got stuck for a few minutes under the fence, that dude is a bit chubby. After some squirmiong and crying he broke free. I brought him in too. Both dogs were panting and terrified. I've never owned a dog before Kali and had never seen one in a total storm panic attack.

They are snuggled up now, safe and secure in Kali's crate, their breathing is back to normal and they might even be napping. Their owner is coming to collect them at lunch time. Wowzers, who'de thought two little doggies could get so worked up? Now, I know why my neighbors are so tired after a storm - their dogs keep them up all night :0)

How sweet of you! I would have quite possibly pointed and laughed. Ok, not really. Well, maybe.
Bless their little hearts. They must have been terrified. I'm glad you have a soft heart for all animals and rescued them.
