I neglected to post the pickle recipe. Actually, I didn't forget, I was told to keep it a family "secret" Well, maybe that's not quite the truth either....................Okay, okay, I'll share it. But now, what will I give my sweet sis-in-law for her Birthday? hahahahahahahaha!!!!!

Straight from Grandma's email - the famous pickle recipe:

Small receipe-1st Scrub pickles- 6C water-1C HEINZ 5%(50Grains)Acidity VINEGAR-1/3 C (Canning salt only)1/4 Teas.Alum.I wash jars in dishwasher-Pack Jars with Dill, grape leaf,button garlic,Small hot pepper- pack cuckes- I pour boiling water in jar 2 times while Vinegar mixture comes to a boil. pour hot water off & Pour vinegar mix in jar & seal. I leave pickles out & watch for several days- If any turns clowdie pour off vinegar And do the hot water & vinegar over again & seal- After I started doing the boiling water I havent had any to clowd again.
