Crepes by Suzette

Crepes by Suzette is a wonderful and charming book. We picked this up in the new books section at the library. Sometimes we head to the library with a list of subjects we're interested in. Sometimes we just wander around randomly picking up books with interesting covers. This book had an engaging and colorful cover.

We loved the art the author incorporated, along with all the interesting French phrases and items. We talked about Paris and where its located on our globe. We also talked about several famous sites in Paris. This book sparked all kinds learning fireworks!

When we got to the end, there was a recipe for crepes. Very cool! The boys were hyped when I suggested we make crepes. The next day we got down to business. We mixed and poured, cooked and ate yummy crepes! How cool is that??? We tried them the first day with strawberry jam and some with cinnamon and sugar. The second day we tried chocolate inside.

I now have a recipe card filed away with an awesome recipe from a kid's book. You never know where you might find a gem!
