Yesterday we took advantage of free first Tuesday at the Dallas Museum of Art. Boy was it crowded! I guess everyone was thinking they would take one last trip before school starts. Kids were everywhere - it was very cool to see them all enjoying the museum!
The museum has a children's gallery & they had lots of programs yesterday to entertain the kiddos. We listened to a story & some songs about dragons - then we visited the dragon king sculpture on the 3rd floor. We also got temporary tattoos & created our own art!
The gallery has lots of hands on touchy feelie things for the kids - mainly an area with different textures to feel & compare.
We ate lunch outside in the sculpture garden. It was nice & shady. The kids enjoyed hanging out & walking among the different sculptures.
After lunch we ventured back inside and wandered around the exhibits. Highlights were a mummy's feet, various buddahs, guardian lion sculptures, and Monet's waterlillies.
We also ran into our friends Kelly, Jackson, Tyler & Ryan. Very cool! We hadn't seen them in awhile & it was great to say hellp. We spent about 3 hours total & it was a fabulous day!

Who was that drawing with their left hand?! I thought your kids were right handed. Hmmm. I love that picture of them peeping through the sculpture. Fun times!
