Cub Scout Cake Auction

We had an awesome pack meeting last Friday night. The meeting was held in the cafateria of Connor's school and we could feel excitement in the air the moment we stepped through the door. Kids were running aroudn the hallway and in the cafateria. It is so fun to be in your school after the normal day is over - feels special somehow. The kids just loved it.

These are auction cakes made by some of the other scouts.

This pack meeting was a fun holiday sort of meeting. There were Angel Trees so the boys could choose an angel & buy someone less fortunate a gift. We had a fun time choosing those & this week we had even more fun out choosing the gifts. We also had a cake auction - cubs made cakes and we bid on them. There was some fierce battling too! It was loads of fun. Some of the scouts brought their own money so they could bid on cakes too. Of course, the parents were the BIG spenders. I know one cake went for close to $40
These are some cub parents/leader auctioneers. They kept the mayhem & confusion to a minimum.
Our guys worked really hard on their cake. I didn't know that "heros" was the theme so we went went a tiger since we're Tiger Cubs. Cayden made the cake & when Connor got home from school they frosted & assembled it. It turned out really nice!
Our Tiger Cub cake sold for somewhere between $25 & $30!
This is the sweet little Tiger Cub who bought it. Actually, his parents bought it! I was bidding against them but it was this little dude's birthday & he really wanted it. Boy howdy.....Connor & Cayden were super angry! We had to take them home because they couldn't quit screaming about the cake. Next year, I don't care which sweetheart wants our cake - we're buying it, by God! hahahahahaahahahahahaha! Actually, I think we'll make 2 next year & just keep one at home.
