Candy! candy! candy!

Wow! Our boys got about 3 tons of candy from our neighborhood last night. I was amazed, mostly because they didn't receive a single tootsie roll. The boys got lots of chocolate and I'm not exaggerating when I say LOTS. Our next door neighbor actually bought King Size candy bars for them. They were so excited! I'm not sure they'll ever be able to stop admiring them long enough to actually eat them.

Both boys dressed up. Cayden went all out & dressed like a Ninja. We even sprayed his light blonde hair black. I was a little afraid the color wouldn't come out but it did. It sure was strange to see him with jet black hair!

Connor wasn't too excited about dressing up and he went for the subtle look. His alien costume was so cute! I'm glad he decided to wear it. He was pretty insistent, earlier in the day, that he was going as Connor. He had a great time & was so excited about all the candy. While trick-or-treating he made the following observation: "The 3 attributes of Halloween are 1. scary decorations 2. costumes 3. candy"

The dog had 2 costumes this year. She began as a ballerina princess. After a quick unauthorized jaunt around the neighborhood, her tutu was forever lost. We ended up putting her in a party dress & keeping the tiara. One wise cracking little kiddo called her a drag queen.

I must admit though, saw a picture of someone's cat dressed as a taco. I am hoping I can find a costume like that on sale today! I must admit, I've never ever seen a costume labeled"cat" Think they got a doggie costume and misappropriated it???

What great costumes!! I almost didn't recognize Caiden with black hair! Connor's costume was so original...loved the alien look! I never even thought to dress up Marvin before...we'll have to do that next year for sure! :) Glad y'all had a fun Halloween!!
