Last week was an eventful one for 2nd & 4th grade. One day the 2nd graders celebrated Johnny Appleseed Day. Another day, the 4th graders celebrated Armadillo Day. Both were so much fun!
Cayden's class made apple pancakes. Yum!!!! They also wrote about all the ways their senses were used in the making of the pancakes. After eating their yummy snack, they wrote apple cinquains.
Connor's class had a full day of armadillo activities. Author Mary Brooke Casad, who write books about Bluebonnet the armadillo was on had to talk & sign books. We also had a big 4th grade lunch with 'road kill' stew, insects on a log and dirt cups for dessert. It was big fun!

Wow, that's so neat! That pancake looks really good, Cayden! Connor, I love your hat! I had totally forgotten about Bluebonnet the Armadillo...I'm going to look for the books tomorrow at the library! Also, that lunch sounds yummy!
I love Texas! We have a really cute book about an armadillo that I'll have to dig out. Both days look like such cool activities for school!
