As most parents know, you spend a lot of New Year's hanging out at home with the kiddos. There is nothing appealing about hitting the roads on New Years Eve, staying up past midnight & being in crowds with children in tow. That makes a big celebration like
Big D's NYE out of the question. Heck, I didn't even stay up until midnight this year (and I was totally fine with that). All that being said, you do need to ring in the New Year with some sort of celebration.
The New Year just demands a party! Its exciting! A new start!
Instead of dragging the kids out somewhere dark & cold, we celebrate on New Year 's Day with a
Noon Year's Party. It is a hit! Everyone is well rested and smiling!
We always have cherry 7up for toasting & confetti poppers on hand.
This year's menu consisted of hot chocolate cupcakes, cheese pizza, crazy bread, candy, pringles & cherry 7Up.
We invited some of our closest friends & had a blast!

The dance competition - thanks Just Dance 4 - was awesome! I love to dance & what better way than the have a dance off? I do pretty well but must admit, I've got to spend more free time on my dance moves. NO ONE is beating me next year! Do you hear that Rodgers ladies???

Looks fun! Not even I went out this year, and it was wonderful. I enjoyed bringing in the new year with some calm rather than sending 2012 out with a bang. :)
Happy New Year! Sorry we missed. Especially after seeing these pics! Fun tradition!
