Time flies....

Its been many months since I've posted a blog update.  Every once in a while, I think to myself, 'I need to update my blog.'  Then I promptly forget.  We've had many adventures and lots of family fun since my last post.  It would be very boring for you to read about each and every adventure in detail so I'll just update you quickly.  We had a wonderful summer with lots of time spent with friends.  Both boys went to summer camp.  Cayden to scouts and Connor to a Cancer camp.  We also had a backyard camp with our good friends, The Rodgers family.  It was such fun!  I'm sure hoping we can do it again this coming summer.

We went to the Children's Tumor Foundation Conference/Forum in DC and then spent a week visiting friends in New York.  What a great trip.  I felt like we had just seen our friend.  It was like we'd never had any time between us.

School started - Connor in 6 th grade and Cayden in 4th.  Connor is still home-bound and the district has recently acquired a robot that he can drive to class from his computer at home.  He's been using the robot to attend science for about 2 weeks now.  Its a neat time.  He is enjoying it, most days. Cayden is doing great in school and is playing the upright bass in the school strings group.  He is such a musical guy.  We are going to his first concert this Wednesday.  We are excited to see what his does with his talent.

A few weeks ago, we took a trip to Disney World.  This was the first time for the boys.  Connor was chosen as a Kidd's Kid through a wonderful gift from the radio station 106.1 and the Kidd Kraddick morning show.  We went with 59 other families who have chronically ill children.  It was such fun and we didn't have to worry about planning or paying for a single thing.  They had everything ready for us.  We made many memories we will always treasure.

Now its the holiday season and we're all getting geared up for Christmas.  I love this season.  All the lights, festivities and the celebration of the greatest gift of all, Jesus Christ!
