Many of you have met this sweet sad dog. We love her & hope to have her for a long time. Yesterday, she went to the vet and they found a mass the size of a grapefruit in her abdomen. FORM (a Mastiff Rescue group) has been helping us and are collecting donations to pay for her care. Christy is back home with us but, will be going in on Monday for a sonogram in Irving and then on to the vet in Ft Worth for surgery early Tuesday morning. Until then, we are feeding her bologna burritos - bologna with dry dog food rolled inside - to keep her fed. She weighed in at 62 pounds - half of what a Mastiff her size should weigh. Her poor body is starving itself because the mass has crunched up her stomach and pushed her intestines into a bunch towards the back of her body. Hopefully, by feeding her several small emals a day we will keep her going so she will have the strength for surgery.
Connor & Cayden love this sweet big girl and she loves all of us! The Christy crusade continues!!!! We will keep you posted on her progress.
