Did you know there are still pirates? Wouldn't you think in the age of internet, identity theft and $30,000 cars that pirates would be a thing of the past? Well, guess again.... There are plenty of rotten pirates still around. I bet they aren't walking about dressed like Captain Jack Sparrow, using gold coins to buy fancy chocolates.

Do you know where Somalia is located? Its on the continent of Africa. They're political situation is tenuous at best. Somalia has been in a state of flux for eons and the government there doesn't function any better than my busted blender. Apparently, all the lawlessness includes piraets running amok of the coast. Last week pirates captured an American. Pirates off the coast currently have more than 200 hostages from various countries, but the American Captain last week has been big news. Our Captain was rescued by our Navy Seals. He is safe and sound and celebrating Easter in a safe place. I take for granted how wonderful my life is some times. Wow, if I think I've got it bad, I need to stop and be truly grateful that I'm not being held in a life boat by a group of crazy pirates. Hey, do you think the pirates have parrots for pets? What about peg legs and eye patches????? Nah, that's all hollywood!
