Halloween around our house.

First we carved our pumpkins. Connor did the small jack-o-lantern & Cayden and Connor teamed up for the large one. Cayden was solely responsible for those crazy eyes!
After carving the pumpkins & lighting them up, we roasted the seeds. yummo! I love roasted pumpkin seeds with lots of salt. I'm just hoping my intestines don't start screaming in the middle of the night - I eat the hull & the seed.
The boys put together their own costumes this year. I must say, they were fabulous! Connor went with is old standby and dressed as a veterinarian. Cayden dressed as an army man - complete wih backpack, dogtags, a camo gun and camo clothes. Very nice. I hope they continue to be this creative & don't go for the bought costumes for along time. Is that just a girl thing? I always wanted a bought costume - preferebly in pink or animal print. I did spend a number of years dressed as a hobo - I said I wanted thsoe bought ones, not that I always got them LOL
We couldn't leave Kali out in the cold. She dressed up as a ballerina. She even trick or treated a bit & Miranda gave her a few scooby snacks.

I love the costumes!! Great ideas!! The pumpkin carving turned out really good also! I agree with the previous comment...until I read your blog, it never occurred to me to not eat the hull of the seed! Do most people crack them open?
