Here we are, sitting on the really cool petrified log @ Fair Park. Wonder if they would notice if I came in with a forklift & moved that log to my house?...???...???
I really love the outdoors in the fall. All the trees are changing to pretty shades of orange, red or brown.
I also really love the Fair Park area. I didn't have a love for the area when I was younger but, as an adult I've learned to appreciate the beautiful buildings, the landscaping and all the museums.
I'm a bit depressed thinking about the Museum of Nature and Science leaving and going to a new home in Victory Park. Don't get me wrong, Victory Park is cool & I'm all for reviatalizing the downtown area but, not sure it has to be done at the expense of Fair Park. Maybe there are plans to create something grand & wonderful in its place & I just am not privy to that information.
Until then, we'll keep visiting the museums and eating lunch at the Old Mill Inn!
