Dinner table conversations

I am a firm believer in having meals, at a dining table, with your family on a regular basis.  Having an open floor plan in our house, makes our table accessible & it is used a lot.  Our beloved table is used for meals, for art projects, for holding folded laundry, homework, laptop desk, Lego building, and lots of conversations.  Here is the conversation I overheard yesterday, at our table, during dinner.

Connor:  addressing his brother, "Don't you think it would be cool if each state had its own World Records book?"

Cayden:  "Yeah!  I sure do!"

Connor:  "Jessie would be in it for breaking a pole vaulting record.  That would be cool!"

Cayden:  "She'd be in there forever.  She is totally unbeatable.'

Connor:  "Yep, she is.  Do you think the ranch on this broccoli slaw is weird?"

Cayden:  "uh huh"
