Fine Arts

The boys' school had a Fine Arts night.  I love that they did this!  It was the first time since my guys have been attending.  We usually have Math & Science night and ELA night so this was overdue.  Music and arts are so important and I love that they are getting some attention.  We are so lucky that our guys can participate in strings, choir and both music & art classes.
Cayden's grade (2nd) create a beautiful show of Chinese Lanterns.  The black one above is Cayden's.  The picture doesn't do it justice.  There was so much detail on there.  Since the lanterns were hanging, I couldn't get a really good picture.  I know, I should've gone ahead & climbed up on a chair!  I'm hoping they will be bringing these home so we can display it here as well.
Al the strings instruments were out for the kids to try.  Connor has a violin but it was great for him to try the bass, the cello and the harp.
Cayden took a turn with all the string too.  Not sure which he liked but he sure looked comfortable with both the harp & the cello.  He'll get a chance to join strings when he's in 4th grade.  I, for one, hope he does cello.
There were smatterings of art all throughout the school building.  2nd grade had their Polar Express Art on display.  I love Cayden's imagination.  This is his rendition of a flying Polar Bus.
